Wall, Winifred E. Mumaw

Winifred E. Wall, 92, of Goshen, died Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Greencroft of Goshen.
She was born October 7, 1930 in Elkhart to Enos and Ruth (Lehman) Mumaw.
She married Elmer A. Wall on December 17, 1960 in Elkhart.
He survives along with a daughter, Mary Beth (Scott) Neufeld-Wall, St. Louis, Missouri; two sons, Timothy (Zoann) Wall, Goshen and Loren (Dawn) Wall, Manhattan, Kansas and six grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Christian, Christopher and Nathaniel Wall and two sisters, Kathryn Stalter and Frances Troyer.
Mrs. Wall was a member of Silverwood Mennonite Church. She enjoyed music, played the violin and auto harp, she was part of the Maple City Community Orchestra. She directed children’s choirs over the years and enjoyed playing music with her sisters.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will take place Friday, August 4 at 4 p.m. at Silverwood Mennonite Church. Pastor Donna Mast will officiate.
Burial will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Violett Cemetery.
Memorial donations in her honor may be directed to Africa Inter Mennonite Mission or Mennonite Mission Network.
Weaver, Abram M.
August 3, 1936 - November 17, 2023
Abram M. Weaver, 87, of Newville, PA entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 17, 2023 at his home after declining health. He was born on August 3, 1936 in West Cocalico Township, PA. He was the son of the late Ivan M. and Amanda M. Weaver. He was united in marriage to Irene M. Martin on October 1, 1960 in Lancaster County, PA. He was a member of the Oakville Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference).
In addition to his wife, Abram is survived by eight sons, one daughter, and one son-in-law: Nelson and wife Mary of Shippensburg, PA, Gladys Martin (Ira) of Stratford, WI, Alvin and wife, Pauline of Shippensburg, PA, Leon and wife, Karen of Newville, PA, Glen and wife, Janet of Shippensburg, PA, (Marilyn) Alvin Horning of Thorp, WI, Curvin and wife, Ruth Ann of Myerstown, PA, Ivan and wife, Nancy of Stetsonville, WI, Dale and wife, Anna Mae of Edgar, WI, and David and wife, Eunice of Stratford, WI, ninety grandchildren, and eighty five great grandchildren.
Abram is also survived by two brothers, Harvey and wife Naomi, of Bernville, PA and Clarence and wife Marian of Myerstown, PA, and one sister, Lavina Weaver of Ephrata, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Marilyn Horning, son-in-law, Ira Lamar Martin, two grandsons, two great grandsons, and four brothers: Emanuel, Samuel, Ezra, and Ivan.
A viewing will be held at the Oakville Mennonite Church, 20 Willis Road, Newville, PA on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM. The funeral will be held at the church on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 9:30 AM.

Weaver, Ada S. Weaver
June 7, 1955 - May 8, 2023
Ada S. Weaver, 67, of 10559 Salt Creek Road, Fredericksburg, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Wooster Community Hospital due to a heart attack.
She was born in Wayne County on June 7, 1955 to the late Sol L. and Katie (Miller) Weaver and on October 29, 1974 she married Jacob A. Weaver, he survives.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Levi (Martha) Weaver of Fredericksburg, Mary (Emanuel) Yoder of the home, Edna (Monroe) Miller of Millersburg and Ivan (Kathy) Weaver of Orrville; 18 grandchildren; brothers, Albert (Sarah) Weaver, Levi (Katie) Weaver and John (Ella) Weaver; sisters, Esther (Sam) Miller, Barbara (late Eli) Raber, Mary (Aden) Troyer, Anna (David) Yoder, Clara (late Andy) Miller; and a sister-in-law, Esther (late Henry) Weaver.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Henry; brothers-in-law, Eli Raber and Andy Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 9:00 am at the family residence with Bishop Raymond A. Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery. Weaver, Benjamin Z.
June 28, 1937 - February 2, 2023
Benjamin Z. Weaver, 85, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Fairmount Homes. He was the husband of Elsie Buckwalter Weaver with whom he had shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late David F. and Mary Ella Zeiset Weaver.
Ben was the founder of Lighthouse Rehabilitation Center, now Lighthouse Vocational Services, and had worked a variety of jobs including Raytec Manufacturing. Ben loved worshipping with all true believers in Christ and enjoyed volunteer community service.
Surviving besides his wife are 3 children, Ronald husband of Rosene Bruckhart Weaver, Marlene wife of Clifford Fox, and Ilene wife of Stanley Rutt; 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 siblings, Lena wife of Isaac Martin, Alice wife of the late Edwin High, and Emma wife of Ivan Weaver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Eva wife of the late Daniel Nolt, 2 brothers, Melvin and Clarence, who died at young ages, and Anna former wife of Ivan Weaver.

Weaver, Clair
February 18, 1949 - April 30, 2023
Clair Weaver passed away on April 30, 2023 at the age of 74 in Palmyra, PA. His battle with a serious medical issue in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with gumption and strength. Despite the pain, Clair stayed strong until the end, focused on his life ahead, certain of a new beginning with Jesus.
With a heart for the oppressed and marginalized, Clair met the love of his life, Betsy, in 1970 in Florida, where they were both doing service through Eastern Mennonite Mission in Lakeland. Betsy supported Clair and his various occupations throughout the years, including his work at Respiratory and Home Med Care, Kwik Quality Press, as a church leader and pastor at Lebanon Mennonite churches, as a board member at the local YMCA, at Paloma School and at New Covenant Christian School, and various other local agencies. Clair was the CEO of Jubilee Ministries in Lebanon, PA, from where he retired after 25 years of service.
Clair is survived by his wife Betsy, sons Eric (wife Tanya) and Bryan (wife Julie) and his two grandchildren, Julia and Aiden, whom he loved unconditionally and carried around until they grew too big to do so. He is also survived by his siblings, Clete Weaver (wife Diane), Dale Weaver (wife Brenda), Dolores Newswanger (husband Donald), and a sister-in-law, Kay Weaver. Clair was preceded in death by his parents, Abram and Betty Weaver, and a brother Glenn Weaver.
Clair will be missed by many and the world will not be the same without him - a servant working in the role of a leader and a bright example of what life looks like when it is dedicated to God, family and community.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Gingrich's Mennonite Church on Saturday, May, 6th at 10 AM. Private burial to be held at the convenience of the family.
Weaver, Dena Simone
October 5, 1996 - September 23, 2023
Dena Simone Weaver, 26, of Hermitage, TN passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
She was the wife of Jack Norman Nicholson III. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Luke and Joanne Martin Weaver.
Dena was a graduate of Terre Hill Mennonite High School and had been employed as a hostess in the restaurant industry. She was known for her skilled writing and her infectious laugh. Dena enjoyed working with children and was a good mother to her children.
Surviving besides her husband and parents are three children, Jack Norman Nicholson IV, Alessandra Rylee Nicholson, and Ellowyn Tainia Nicholson; two brothers, Daryl L. husband of Jen L. (Nolt) Weaver, and Delmar S. husband of Rachel F. (Gehman) Weaver; and a sister DeeAmber J. Weaver.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 5, at 11:00 A.M. at Cornerstone Mennonite Fellowship, 240 S. Oak St., Ephrata, PA with Pastors Jay Laughman, Phil Groff and Barry Wenger officiating. Enos L. Weaver, 1963 Jordanville Road, Jordanville, New York 13361, born September 2,1988 died May 17, 2023 at the age of 34 years 8 months and 15 days. He was a member of the Little Falls Mennonite Church. He was the son of Daniel and Ruth Brubaker Weaver and the husband of Jemima Christophel Weaver.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons Joshua and Noah and four daughters; Shirley, Molly, Sally and Nancy, four brothers; David and Olivia of Richfield Springs, Daniel and Abigail of Brownfield, Maine, Mahlon and Sharene of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, Jesse and Rachael of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, three sisters; Joy of Freyburg, Maine, Martha and Lemuel Christophel of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania Judith and Jonathan Leid of West Chester, Iowa, paternal grandfather Paul Weaver.
He was predecessed by his infant daughter Lily, paternal grandmother Ruth Weaver maternal grandparents John and Florence Brubaker.
A viewing will be held on Monday from 1:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm in the Little Falls Mennonite Church 2310 State Route 167, MohawK, NY 13407. Funeral will take place Tuesday at 10:00am at the church.
Weaver, Ervin H.
February 6, 1956 - April 16, 2023
Ervin H. Weaver, 67, of Narvon, passed away on April 16, 2023 in his residence. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Franklin and Esther (Huber) Weaver. He was the loving husband of Sharon E. (Eberly) Weaver, with whom he married on August 9, 1975.
Ervin was employed as a Tool and Die Maker for CNH for over thirty years. He enjoyed reading, traveling to the beach and the mountains and spending time with his grandchildren.
Ervin is survived by his wife, his children; Jenny, wife of Glen Vitkosky, Gwen, wife of Jonathan Myer and Christina, wife of Jesse Fox and grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Courtney, Paige and Joshua Myer, Luke, Joel, Elijah and Serenity Fox and Grace Vitkosky. Also surviving are his siblings; Minerva Horst, Mable Reiff, Elaine Weaver, John Weaver, Anna Kelly and Joseph Weaver.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Eugene Weaver and Leo Weaver.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Grace Fellowship, 400 Reading Road, East Earl, PA 17519 with Pastor Vernon Stoltzfus officiating. A viewing will be held for one hour prior to the viewing on Thursday and on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. Burial will be held in Bowmansville Mennonite Cemetery.

Weaver, J. Paul
February 9, 1926 - November 8, 2023
J. Paul Weaver, 97, formerly of Ephrata, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Landis Homes Retirement Community.
Paul was born on February 9, 1926 in Ephrata, PA to the late Aaron W. and Lydia A. (Zimmerman) Weaver and was the husband of the late Nora M. (Sensenig) Weaver who passed away in 2016.
Paul was a member of Alive Church, formerly Ephrata Mennonite Church. Ephrata was home to Paul, farming on the family farm where he was born and raised and where he raised his own family. His farming including raising beef, pork, and chickens. Paul was one of the founding fathers with a vision for Woodcrest Retreat in Ephrata.
He enjoyed attending local auctions while catching up with people, but was always on the lookout for a treasure he could enjoy. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They always brought a smile to his face and a twinkle in his eyes. Paul enjoyed friendly teasing with family and friends. He had a quick wit that stayed with him until the end, often taking the nursing staff by surprise. He will truly be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
Paul is survived by six children, James G., husband of Elaine (Shultz) of Ephrata, S. Marlene, wife of Mark N. Ulrich of Ephrata, John P., husband of Laura (Hart) of Ephrata, Janice M., wife of Lee Witmer of Denver, Clifford L., husband of Debra (Reigel) of Lititz, Clair N., husband of Gale (Youndt) of Ephrata; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois (Weaver) Weber, Ephrata; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wilmer and Jane Sensenig.
In addition to his wife, Paul was preceded in death by a grandson, Garret Mitchel Weaver; a brother, Carl Z. Weaver, and an infant sister, Rhoda L. Weaver.
The family is very appreciative for the excellent care the staff in Cedar and Oregon Houses at Landis Homes gave to Paul in his final years.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 9:30 to 11 AM, at Alive Church, 510 Stevens Road, Ephrata, followed by his funeral service at 11 AM, with Pastors Jeff High and David Buch officiating. Interment will take place at Indiantown Mennonite Cemetery.

January 20, 1992 - December 13, 2023
Janice H. Weaver, 31, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Born January 20, 1992 in Berks County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Ivan and Mary Brubacker.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Arlin M. Weaver and son Brian Weaver.
Also surviving are six brothers, Jason (Crystal) Brubacker, Mark (Cheryl) Brubacker, Leon (Kaylene) Brubacker, Gerald (Karen) Brubacker, Ivan Ray Brubacker, and Wilson Brubacker all of Shippensburg Pennsylvania, Two sisters, Esther (Daryl) Nolt of Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania, and Linda (Nathan) Horst of Cato, New York, paternal grandfather, Isaac Brubacker and wife Erma, and twenty five nieces and nephews.
Janice was a member of the Hickory Grove Mennonite Church.
She enjoyed being a mother to her son, and being in the kitchen cooking and baking. She was part owner of Dutch Girl Goodies

Weaver, John W.
March 30, 1929 - October 5, 2023
John W. Weaver, 94 died October 5, 2023 at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community. He was born March 30, 1929 in Lancaster County, PA., the youngest son of David N. and Francis B. Weaver. His siblings, Hoover, Florence, Kathryn and David, preceded him in death. He grew up in a Mennonite farming family in eastern Lancaster County and loved working with horses. hen he was 17, he worked on a cattle ship taking horses to Poland.
He attended elementary school at Union Grove and high school at Terre Hill before graduating from Lancaster Mennonite School. He received a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and physics from Eastern Mennonite University, a Master of Science degree in statistics from the University of Delaware, and a doctorate in computer technology from The Johns Hopkins University. He was awarded a National Science Foundation Faculty Fellowship to complete the doctorate.
After teaching mathematics at Lancaster Mennonite School, he worked as chief accountant at Delaware State Hospital, supervisor of Delaware State Agency of Surplus Properties, and scientific programmer and economic analyst at the Tidewater Oil Company. In September 1963 he joined the faculty of the University of Delaware, where he was instructor of statistics and computer science and was manager of the university's computer center. He completed his teaching career at West Chester University where he was professor of mathematical and computer science and for many years was the chair of the Department of Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science. He retired in January 2004.
On August 16, 1951, he married Margaret Rose Martin, who died September 3, 2018. In 1955, when Margaret's oldest brother and his wife perished in an airplane accident, Margaret and John took the orphan children into their home and raised them. Robert Dwayne Martin (Pat Hooley Martin) and Helen Martin Harman survive along with their children and grandchildren.
Before moving to VMRC in March 2014, the Weavers were members of Frazier (PA.) Mennonite Church where John was for many years a Sunday School teacher, cabinet chairperson and worship coordinator. Because of his love of Russian liturgical music, John also sang in the choir of St. Herman Russian Orthodox Church prior to moving to VMRC in March 2014.
A celebration of John's memory will be on Friday, November 3, 2023, 11:00 AM, at the VMRC Strite Auditorium.

Weaver, Joseph Milton
December 18, 1923 - January 18, 2023
Joseph Milton Weaver, age 99, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Messiah Village. Born December 18, 1923 in Shepherdstown, PA, he was the youngest of six children of the late Martin Milton and Bertha (Bookwalter) Weaver.
Joseph worked as a tool and die maker and worked for: AMP, Inc., where he also served as shop supervisor; Olivetti-Underwood; Beaman Manufacturing; and G.S. Electric. He was an avid traveler and camper and had memberships in several camping clubs, including Thousand Trails. In his free time, he enjoyed metal detecting and completing puzzles. Joseph was also a man of strong faith and was a longtime member of Slate Hill Mennonite Church.
In addition to his five siblings, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jane (Hoch) Weaver.
Surviving are his children: Patricia Lichty and husband Maynard; Nancy Clark and husband Charles; and Kenneth Weaver and wife Debbie; his grandchildren: Hilary, Douglas, Jenny, Jarrod, and Andrew; as well as twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 23 at Slate Hill Mennonite Church, where there will be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Weaver, Landis M.
February 28, 1936 - March 7, 2023
Landis M. Weaver, 87, of Ephrata, died Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Arlene G. (Burkholder) Weaver. Born in Narvon, he was the son of the late Joseph O. and Fannie W. (Martin) Weaver.
He was a retired cabinetmaker and a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 children: Susan married to Larry Martin, Romulus, NY, Nancy married to Wilmer Martin, Stevens, Sylvia married to Aaron Hurst, Ephrata, Jay L. married to Lois (Horst) Weaver, Reinholds, 26 grandchildren, 94 great-grandchildren 1 great-great-grandson, and a sister-in-law Arlene W. Weaver.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: George M. and his wife Marian (Zimmerman) Weaver and Allen M. Weaver.
His funeral will be held on Monday, March 13, at 9:30 a.m. at Weaverland Mennonite Church with Bishop Amos G. Martin, Amos K. Martin, David A. Martin, and Delvin A. Nolt officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at Farm Crest Reception Center on Sunday, March 12, from 2 4 p.m. and 6 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. May 9, 1943 - October 7, 2023
M. Mervin Weaver, 80, of East Earl, entered into rest at his home, while under Hospice Care, on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Born in Farmersville, he was the son of the late Amos and Vera (Sensenig) Weaver. He was married 58 years this past December 31st to Lizzie R. (Hoover) Weaver.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Spring Grove Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Surviving is addition to his wife are two sons, Mervin husband of Jane Z. (Horning) Weaver of New Enterprise, and Justus husband of MaryJane N. (Shirk) Weaver of East Earl; four daughters, Susan wife of Rufus L. Zimmerman of New Enterprise, Ruth wife of Nevin M. Zimmerman of Rushville, NY, Linda wife of Wilmer M. Hoover of Ephrata, and Jane wife of Lamar L. Zimmerman of Martindale; 43 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; six siblings, Verna wife of Willis Hoover of Alton, OH, Esther wife of Amos Zimmerman of East Earl, Mary Ella wife of Jonas Zimmerman of East Earl, Vera wife of Paul Hoover of Leola, Ruth wife of Noah Reiff of Leola, and David husband of Martha Weaver of KY; and a sister-in-law, Vera Mae Martin of Ephrata.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elva H. Weaver, by a son, Nelson H. Weaver, an infant son, James H. Weaver; one brother, Melvin Earl Weaver and by two infant sisters, Elva and Alta Weaver.

Weaver, Mabel M. Nolt
March 29, 1938 - November 27, 2023
Mabel M. Weaver, 85, of Leola, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Bareville to the late Samuel and Eva (Martin) Nolt and was the wife of the late Eli H. Weaver, who passed away in 2021.
She was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference), Leola. Mabel was a homemaker.
Mabel is survived by six children, Marian, wife of Aaron Zeiset of Leola, Lester, husband of Lena (Oberholtzer) Weaver of New Enterprise, Marvin, husband of Marietta (Shirk) Weaver of Leola, Eli, husband of Eunice (Burkholder) Weaver of Leola, Eva, wife of Earl Oberholtzer of Leola, Alan, husband of Alice (Reiff) Weaver of St. Johnsville, NY; 33 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna, wife of the late David Martin and a sister-in-law, Verna Nolt.

Mark Jay Weaver, 61, went into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023 at the Cleveland Clinic while surrounded by his wife and children.
Mark was born on Jan. 28, 1962 in Millersburg to Ivan E. and Clara (Hershberger) Weaver and married Shelley Coblentz on Oct. 28, 1989. He was the owner of Ivan Weaver Construction in Fredericksburg and had made his home in Fredericksburg until moving to Lake Buckhorn in November of 2022. Mark was recently honored as Fredericksburg Citizen of the Year for all his contributions to the Fredericksburg Community. He attended Fairlawn Mennonite Church and loved hunting, fishing and traveling.
Mark will be greatly missed by his wife, Shelley and his children, Cody Weaver, Tyler Weaver, Shayne and his wife Jennifer Weaver and Lexi and her husband Drew Hostetler all of Fredericksburg. He was awaiting his two grandchildren who are on the way and is also survived by his mother, Clara Weaver of Fredericksburg; brothers and sisters, Ian and Robin Weaver of Wooster, Cindy and Ivan Wengerd of Dalton, Robert and Katie Weaver of Fredericksburg and Rose and Merle Miller of Sarasota, FL and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Weaver in 2022.
Services will be Saturday, Oct. 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Fairlawn Mennonite Church where friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Apple Creek Cemetery. Weaver, Mary Evelyn Herr
March 10, 1926 - June 18, 2023
Mary Evelyn (Herr) Weaver, 97, of Elkhart, passed away June 18, [2023] at Hubbard Hill Estates after a long life well-lived.
She was born in Hanover, PA, on March 10, 1926, to Elmer and Fannie (Miller) Herr, the youngest of 7 children.
Mary wed Harold L. Weaver of Elkhart in 1950. They were married for 69 years.
She is survived by their three children, Barry (Marge) Weaver of Bloomington, IL; Karen (Galen) Hershberger of Goshen; and Kent (Jodi) Weaver of Pleasant Hill, OH; as well as 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Her husband; parents; and 6 siblings preceded her in death.
She graduated from Goshen College in 1948 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
She taught for 38 years in the Elkhart Community Schools, devoting most of her career to teaching kindergarten at Monger Elementary School.
She was a master teacher and was much loved by colleagues and students alike. Mary retired in 1990.
Mary was a longtime member of Prairie Street Mennonite Church in Elkhart.
She was a dear and faithful friend to many, growing relationships through one-on-one visits over many years.
She had a beautiful soprano voice and loved singing in choirs and as part of the congregation.
Mary and Harold moved to Hubbard Hill Estates Retirement Community, south of Elkhart, in 1998. They greatly enjoyed the community there. Mary resided at Hubbard Hill for the rest of her life.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 23, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.
A memorial service will take place at Prairie Street Mennonite Church on Monday, July 24, at 11:00 a.m.
A private family burial will take place at Prairie Street Cemetery prior to the service.

Parker Cove Weaver, age 3 days, gained his heavenly wings on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Hershey Medical Center. Born Sunday, June 18, 2023, he was the beloved baby boy of Bryan and Michelle Weaver.
In addition to his parents, Baby Parker is survived by his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Kathryn Good; paternal grandparents, Mel and Betty Weaver and four siblings, Peyton, Kinsey, Wyatt, and Paxton.
A private service and burial occurred at New Haven Mennonite Church, Lititz, PA.

Weber, Elmer H.
October 5, 1931 - May 3, 2023
Elmer H. Weber, 91, of Peach Bottom, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Ephrata Manor. He was the loving husband of the late Orpha N. (Martin) Weber, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage at the time of her passing in 2013. Born in Brecknock Township, he was the son of the late Allen and Katie (Good) Weber.
Elmer began his career with the Ivan Martin Quarry. He then began farming, starting at the Philhaven Hospital Farm for two years, then he purchased a farm in Wakefield in 1955, farming there for 30 years. In recent years he provided transportation for the Amish community.
Elmer was very involved in his community. He was a charter member of Robert Fulton Fire Company, serving as assistant chief for 17 years, chief for 4 years, and was chairman of the mud sale for many years. For leisure, Elmer was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to the Phillies on the radio, and completed word search puzzles daily. He also enjoyed having a large vegetable garden each year. He was a member of Oakwood Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his children, D. Laverne Weber and Audrey (Richard) Lefever, and his grandchildren, Neal (Lori) Lefever and Kelsey Weber. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jacob and Edward Weber, and his sisters, Sarah and Mabel Weber and Laura Landis.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA 17566. Viewings will be held at Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services, 227 West 4th Street, Quarryville, PA on Monday, May 8, from 6 p.m. 8 p.m., and at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren on Tuesday, May 9 from 10 a.m. 11 a.m. Following the service, interment will take place at Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

Peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Parkview Manors, Floradale, at the age of 88 years. Elsie was the beloved wife of Clarence Weber for 62 years. Dear mother of Carolyn (Lamar) Freeman of Fergus, Darrell Weber of Listowel, Darlene (Glen) Wideman of Palmerston, Ron (Cindy) Weber of Mac Tier, Dennis (Yvonne) Weber of Linwood, and Jeanette (Maynard) Metzger of Elmira. Precious grandmother of 30 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Margaret Freeman of Alma, Earl (Alice) Martin of Waterloo, and Laverne (Adele) Martin of St. Thomas.
Predeceased by her parents Cleason and Elizabeth (Brubacher) Martin, brother Harvey (Minerva) Martin, sister Reta (Enos) Brubacher, brothers-in-law Elmer Freeman, Ivan Martin, and Aden Frey.

Florence A. Weber, 95, a resident of Garden Spot Village, passed away three and a half hours short of her 96th birthday, on Friday, November 3, 2023. She was the wife of the late Raymond M. Weber who died in 2011. Born in Witmer, she was the daughter of the late Aldus and Ida Wenger Hershey.
Florence was a homemaker and a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church where she had been active in the sewing circle. She was an accomplished seamstress and had made countless diapers and baby sets for MCC. Her interests include gardening and flowers.
Surviving are three daughters, Elaine wife of Gerald Kurtz of Morgantown, Janice wife of Carl Campbell of Mooresville, NC, and Sherlyn wife of Elton Horst of Leola; a son, Keith wife of Karen (Shirk) Weber of Leola; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Macie Haller, brother Warren Hershey and by sisters, Elma Peachey, Irene Hershey and Rhoda Hershey.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, at 10:00 A.M. at the chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA. The family will greet friends following the service. Interment will be private in the Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery.

Glenn S. Weber, 74, of Mohnton, Pennsylvania passed away on April 6, 2023.
He was born on September 22, 1948, in Bowmansville, less than a mile from where he lived his entire life, with the exception of his time studying at Penn State University. He was a son of the late Andrew Weber and Mary (Sensenig) Weber. He was happily married to his wife, Anna Lucille "Lucy" (Yoder) Weber, who survives him, for over 51 years.
Glenn was full of life and ever the optimist. His enthusiasm was contagious and he was always up for an adventure. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who encouraged his children in their many pursuits and believed that they could accomplish anything. He infused his children with a sense of confidence and a strong work ethic. He loved attending his children and grandchildren's baseball games, track meets, and other events.
Glenn was raised on a dairy and poultry farm where he learned the value of hard work. He graduated from Garden Spot High School and Penn State University, majoring in agricultural economics where he was a member of the Alpha Zeta fraternity. Glenn excelled in the FFA program where he developed his public speaking and leadership skills. He eventually served as State FFA President and later as a National Vice-President.
After graduating from Penn State in 1972, Glenn taught high school agriculture at Manheim Central for two years. It was the last time that he would work for anyone else.
Glenn was a life-long entrepreneur. Along with his brothers, he owned and operated Country Acres Farm Stores, a string of convenience stores in Berks County, and Kings Potato Chips, a snack food manufacturing and distribution company. He later owned several businesses with Lucy, including All Seasons Kitchen and Kings 625 Self Storage.
Glenn's likeable and winsome personality made him fun to be around. With a great sense of humor he enjoyed storytelling and would often say, "Don't let the truth stand in the way of a good story!"
Glenn also dabbled in public service, serving as a school board member of the Eastern Lancaster County School District and running for the Pennsylvania General Assembly in 1976. He previously served as president of the Pennsylvania Pleasure Walking Horse Association, chair of the board of Mennonite Home Communities, and was a member of the Bel Air Flying Club. Glenn was a member of Pine Grove Church, Bowmansville.
He was always involved in something, whether it was real estate development, training and showing Tennessee Walking Horses throughout the East Coast, raising cattle, or trail riding horses with friends and family.
Glenn was a pilot who shared his love of aviation by becoming a flight instructor and teaching others to fly, while also earning his airline transport pilot certificate (ATP). He enjoyed flying with this wife and friends to restaurants and flying representatives of nonprofit organizations around the country. His favorite trips involved flying his family to the beach, including Ocracoke Island, NC, Ocean City, NJ, or any beach with a nearby landing strip. In the 1980s, he flew his own plane to the Bahamas and enjoyed flying from island to island. He and Lucy traveled extensively, visiting China, Europe, Alaska, South America and Africa.
Glenn never met a challenge that could not be overcome with optimism and hard work, until he was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia seven years ago. During his later years he was fortunate to be surrounded by a caring community and Lucy's undying devotion and care. Glenn had a strong faith in God, and served as a wonderful example to his children and grandchildren who followed in his footsteps.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Justin and wife Christina, of Dillsburg, PA, Julian and wife Courtney, of Vinton, VA, and Jeremy and wife Sara, of Pittsburgh, PA and grandchildren, Reid, Garrett, Beau, Briana, Vera, Thomas, Christopher, and Susanna.
He is also survived by sisters, Margaret Gockley, Mohnton; Mildred, wife of I. Herbert Horning, Reinholds; Mae, wife of John Z. Weaver, New Holland; Bernice of Normal, IL; Linda, wife of Larry Snader, Rockingham, VA; brothers, John, husband of Janet, Lititz, and Leon, husband of Nancy, Reinholds. He was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd.
Glenn was deeply loved by his family. His light will continue through the optimism and values he instilled in them.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 14 from 6 to 8 PM at Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Road, East Earl, PA 17519 and a celebration of life service on Saturday, April 15 at 10 AM with a viewing at 9 AM until the time of the service.

Arlin Lee Wenger, 30, of Harrisonburg, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
Mr. Wenger was born March 5, 1993, in Rockingham County and was a son of Clifford Allen and Esther Marie (Rohrer) Wenger.
He was a member of Ridgeview Old Order Mennonite Church.
On Oct. 11, 2017, he married Lera Mable (Horst) Wenger, who survives.
Also surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are his daughters, Rebecca Faith Wenger and Joyce Ellen Wenger at home; siblings, Amanda Rohrer and husband, Jason, of Singers Glen, Mariann Rhodes and husband, Dwayne, of Dayton, Melvin Wenger and wife, Kathryn, of Rockingham, James Wenger and wife, Hazel, of Singers Glen, Willis Wenger of Dayton and Lydia Wenger of Dayton; grandmothers, Mildred Arlene (Rohrer) Wenger and Elizabeth (Rhodes) Rohrer; his wife’s parents, Adin and Anna Horst of Dayton; brothers-in-law, Everette Horst and wife, Beth, of Bridgewater and Nathan Horst of Dayton; sisters-in-law, Emily Rohrer and husband, Dennis, of Dayton and Carrie Horst of Dayton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wenger was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Samuel David Wenger and Ivan Harold Rohrer.
The ministers of the church will conduct a funeral service Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Ridgeview Old Order Mennonite Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The body will be taken to his home, where friends may call on Friday from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Wenger, Clyde W.
June 18 1933 - December 19, 2023
Clyde W. Wenger, 90, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023; born at home in Bareville, PA to his parents, the late Amon G. and Esther V. (Zuck) Wenger. He married Shirley M. (Hauck) Wenger on June 18, 1955, together they enjoyed 68 years of married life. He was a registered plumber for over 55 years. For 20 of those years, he was employed by the Frey-Lutz Corporation.
Clyde was a charter member of the Lampeter Church of the Brethren, where he had also served as a deacon, head usher and was involved in all building projects over the past years at the church. He was also an associate member of Lancaster Church of the Brethren. He taught evening plumbing classes at the Brownstown Career & Technical Center, was a member of the Bareville Burial Association, a former trustee of the Monterey Burial Association, former leader of the Leola Explorer Post 54 Boys Scouts of America and coached little league baseball in Leola. In his spare time, Clyde enjoyed woodworking in his shop at home, collecting model tractors, baseball type caps/hats, and making bird feeders. He also took great joy in his accomplishments in gardening, growing flowers and vegetables. Clyde enjoyed watching the birds and butterflies in his backyard as he assembled countless thousand-piece puzzles.
Clyde was preceded in death by his three sons who died early in their lives, Bruce E. Wenger (1980), Mark E. Wenger (1983), Larry J. Wenger (2005); his brother Earl Wenger and sisters Ruth Kreider and Floy Baker.
Clyde is also survived by Ron Peters (Karen Peters) who are like a son and daughter to Clyde and Shirley; his grandson Neil A. Anderson; his brothers, Lloyd G. Wenger (Wilma Espenshade); Jay V. Wenger (Leah Achenbach), a sister Elaine Giorgio (Tom Giorgio); his sister-in-law, Nancy Wenger; his daughter-in-law, Betsy Anderson (Doug Anderson); and his close friends John Shultz, Amy Shultz, and their children, Austin, Abigail, and Adam.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Friends are welcome to greet the family following the service. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Bareville Cemetery.

Wenger, Gabriel Lavern
March 23, 2008 - March 6, 2023
Gabriel Lavern Wenger was born to Gerald and Malinda (Peters) Wenger on March 23rd, 2008 in Mifflintown, PA. His life was tragically ended in a vehicle accident in the early morning hours of Monday, March 6th, 2023, along with his older brother Josiah.
Gabriel was the middle child in a family of seven children. While hidden behind a quiet and reserved facade, his lively, outgoing personality will be greatly missed in the home by his siblings and parents. There was a unique depth of perception and understanding that he possessed that soon would become apparent in interacting with Gabriel. He gave his heart to God and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, on March 14th, 2021, by Minister Israel Wengerd.
Gabriel enjoyed being with and spending time with his friends. Although his death was very sudden we feel thankful for his clear testimony. Gabriel loved to read and also took a keen interest in airplanes. He was a walking encyclopedia on airplanes. He had a special place in his heart for his little niece and big plans of being the favorite uncle. He enjoyed a technical challenge like starting a new prepaid phone and his dreams were to be involved in his relatives custom farming operation which was just becoming a reality. His dad treasures a random, clear smile recently received while passing the boys bedroom door.
His survivors include his parents, Gerald and Malinda, siblings Kaitlyn and Devonzhia Woods of Chattanooga, TN, Sharon, Laraine, Everett and Aleric all of the home, also one dearly loved niece, Azeenah Woods. Paternal grandparents Menno and Alta Wenger. Maternal uncles and aunts, Matthew and Vonda, Mahlon and Candace, Marlene and Noah Schrey, Roman and Mary, Ronald and Gwen, Alvin and Josie, Andrew and Leslie. Paternal uncles and aunts, Denise and Lyndon Unruh, Lucille, Lester and Renee, Janet and Dale Penner, Eunice, Joanne and Gordon Bartel, Ernest and Rosanna, Rosalie and Verle Giesbrecht, Arlyn and Karen.
Josiah was predeceased by a cousin, Julianna and maternal grandparents, Aron and Eva (Hoover) Peters.

Josiah Matthew Wenger was born to Gerald and Malinda (Peters) Wenger on September 7th, 2005 in Mifflintown, PA. His life was tragically ended in a vehicle accident in the early morning hours of Monday, March 6th, 2023, along with his younger brother Gabriel.
Josiah was the third child in a family of seven children. He was sincere and serious about his Christian life. His presence in the home will be keenly missed by his siblings and parents. He gave his heart to God and was baptized into the church of God in Christ, Mennonite, on October 20th, 2019 by Minister Sylvan Yoder.
Josiah was just entering his prime as a young man, although his dreams of owning a pickup and having a business of his own will never be realized, we trust God had even greater plans. He enjoyed being part of the youth group and filled his place as a song leader. Josiah loved his job driving a farm truck for a relative delivering shavings and sawdust to local farmers. Once as he waited to make a delivery, he joined right in with the farm children on a trampoline. It seemed anyone he encountered was just a friend he hadn't met yet. He also had a passion for tapping maple trees and boiling the sap into maple syrup for the family's use. Although our hearts are bleeding we feel thankful for his clear testimony.
His survivors include his parents, Gerald and Malinda, siblings Kaitlyn and Devonzhia Woods of Chattanooga, TN, Sharon, Laraine, Everett and Aleric all of the home also one dearly loved niece, Azeenah Woods. Paternal grandparents Menno and Alta Wenger. Maternal uncles and aunts, Matthew and Vonda, Mahlon and Candace, Marlene and Noah Schrey, Roman and Mary, Ronald and Gwen, Alvin and Josie, Andrew and Leslie. Paternal uncles and aunts, Denise and Lyndon Unruh, Lucille, Lester and Renee, Janet and Dale Penner, Eunice, Joanne and Gordon Bartel, Ernest and Rosanna, Rosalie and Verle Giesbrecht, Arlyn and Karen.
Josiah was predeceased by a cousin, Julianna and maternal grandparents, Aron and Eva(Hoover) Peters.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Morningstar Church of God in Christ,1871 Mensch Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 10:30 am on Friday with the local church ministry officiating.
Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

Wenger, June R. "Rosie" Enck
June 21, 1934 - February 13, 2023
June R. "Rosie" Wenger, 88, of Ephrata, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Lincoln Christian Home.
She was born in Brunnerville to the late Samuel and Salome (Shotzberger) Enck and was the wife of Earl Wenger with whom she shared 70 years of marriage.
She was a woman of strong faith and a member of Conestoga Drive Mennonite Church.
Rosie was a homemaker. She cherished her family and loved creating memories with them. She also enjoyed traveling, cooking meals for her family and friends, and writing letters.
In addition to her husband, Rosie is survived by three children, Dale, husband of Margie Wenger of Leola, Mervin, husband of Debra Wenger of Leola, Rose Ann, wife of James Martin of Akron; ten grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 5 to 8 PM, at White Oak Mennonite Church, 2456 Newport Road, Manheim. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 10:00 AM at White Oak Mennonite Church. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.

Wenger, Marion Roy "Mario"
March 25, 1932 - September 21, 2023
Marion Roy Wenger, 91, was born at home in Dunlap, Indiana on March 25, 1932.
On July 28, 2023 he fell in his home and broke his leg. After surgery and rehab, he was very motivated to get better and things seemed to be going in the right direction. However, his body began having difficulties recovering, and on Thursday, August 31, he made the brave decision that it was time for him to move on from this world to the next. He died peacefully on September 21.
He is preceded in death by his wife Fran Wenger; his father, John Wenger; his mother, Mary Wenger; his brother John Robert Wenger (and his wife Isabelle Wenger); his brother Richard Wenger (and his wife Doris Wenger); and his brother Walter Wenger.
Surviving him are his sister-in-law, Shirley Wenger; his son Mark Wenger, Mark’s two children Holly and Coel, and Holly’s two children Leana and Zaiden; his son Joel Wenger and daughter-in-law Julie Wenger, and their five children, Lindy, Adam, Elijah, Hayden, Meleah; his daughter Maria Wenger; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Marion was known by several other names in his lifetime. In second grade he adopted the nickname Buck, but couldn’t convince those who knew him to use it, much to his disappointment. When he and his wife led a group of students on a study-service trip to Nicaragua he adopted the nickname Mario, in order to avoid confusion with a local’s similar name. Mario is a name that stuck and he used it throughout the rest of his life, sometimes with the variations Super Mario and Mr. Mario.
Mario was a deep intellectual thinker, and a curious learner. As a young boy he would while away hours reading encyclopedia entries and a book series with titles like How to Learn Swedish and How to Learn Russian. He grew up in a family of modest means, but they were avid readers and encouraged education. In 1952 he began serving an Alternative Service term with MCC PAX in Germany, building houses for refugees of WWII. It was there that he made deep and lasting friendships, and also developed a love of German and other languages. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree at Goshen College 1958, a Master’s Degree at Ohio State University in 1967, and a PhD at Ohio State University in 1969. He had a passion for and skills in language learning, and was eager to learn of the connections among them. It wasn’t long before he could converse in French, Spanish, German, and Russian. He also liked to delight others with his ability to speak in various dialects of German. He began teaching German and Linguistics at Goshen College in 1963, and remained active there until 1988. A highlight of his career were the two years (1974-76) his family lived in Accra, Ghana, where he worked with United Bible Societies.
While working at Goshen College, he met a spirited young nursing professor named Anna Frances “Fran” Zimmerman of Blue Ball, Pennsylvania, and they fell in love. They married on August 7, 1965 in Goshen. They adopted their oldest son Mark in 1968, younger son Joel was adopted in 1971, and daughter Maria was born in 1972. They were both delighted with the later addition of seven delightful grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In his retirement years, Mario maintained an active and what he called a “vibrant” lifestyle. He worked on projects, drew sketches, turned his mind to clever inventions, spent time with friends, made music and attended music performances, and continued learning in LifeLong Learning classes. Goshenites may fondly remember Mario as a keen car enthusiast, and may have spotted him tooling around town or jazzing up parades in his classic 1956 red Porsche roadster, or alternatively, in his black Thunderbird. His dry sense of humor likely won over and endeared him to many who encountered him over his lifetime. His goal in his later years was oft repeated by him: I am not trying to live the most number of years, I am trying to live the best kind of years. He always hoped and prayed for a ‘good death,’ one that did not involve prolonged suffering, and everyone who loves him is overjoyed that he got that gift.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will take place at College Mennonite Church on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 am, followed by a light meal and sharing. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, October 20. Wenger, Mary "Evelyn" Rohrer

Mary “Evelyn” Rohrer Wenger, 91, a resident of Dayton, passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at her home.
Mrs. Wenger was born Dec. 21, 1931, and was a daughter of the late William Rhodes and Annie Elizabeth Jones Rohrer.
She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church.
On Jan. 15, 1953, she married Lloyd Edward Wenger, who preceded her in death Nov. 28, 2021.
Surviving are her children, Lewis Wenger and wife, Margaret, of Dayton, Phyllis Zimmerman and husband, Joseph, of Bridgewater, Linden Wenger and wife, Kathy, of Bridgewater, Allen Wenger and wife, Phyllis, of Bridgewater, Franklin Wenger and wife, Karen, of Bridgewater, Gabe Wenger and wife, Esther, of Dayton and Mary Ellen Showalter and husband, Willard, of Dayton; sisters, Ethel Wenger of Rockingham and Annie Wenger and husband, Neil, of Dayton; sister-in-law, Ruth Rohrer; 29 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wenger was preceded in death by her siblings, Ruby Martin (Paul), Evangeline Horst (Paul), Gilbert Rohrer (Frances), Hazel Wenger (Paul R.), Frank Rohrer (Hettie), Grace Showalter (Claude), Alice Heatwole (John), Joseph Rohrer (Reba), Daniel Rohrer; three infant siblings; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Wenger.
The body will be taken to her home where friends may call on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Ministers of the Church will conduct a funeral service Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Wenger, Miriam Naomi Yoder

Miriam Naomi Wenger, 96, of Goshen, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born October 25, 1927 in Elkhart to Harvey and Eliza (Newcomer) Yoder.
On January 1, 1947, she married Howard Wenger at the OIive Mennonite Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Rhea (Dean) Miller, Bristol and Rose (Mark) Troyer, Lititz, PA; three sons, Rex (Cheremy) Wenger, Columbus, OH, Roy Wenger, Grove, OK and Ron (Rebecca) Wenger, Adair, OK; 13 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; 23 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Yoder and Mildred Yoder.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; a sister, Emma Hart and six brothers, Paul, David, Ivan, Carl, Earl and Merrill Yoder.
Mrs. Wenger worked alongside her husband on the dairy farm doing all of the bookkeeping. She had her church membership at Zion Mennonite Church in Pryor, OK. Locally she attended Clinton Frame Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 2 to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Grandson, Rev. Joshua Wenger will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date in Zion Mennonite Cemetery, Pryor, Oklahoma.
Memorial donations may be given to Clinton Frame Church Missions.

May 2, 1932 - November 7, 2023
Wilma Marie Wenger, 91, Goshen, died Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Goshen Hospital. She was born May 2, 1932, in Wakarusa, to Arthur & Gertrude (Wise) Holderbaum. On October 28, 1950, she married Charles “Chuck” Wenger, and he died July 10, 2014.
Surviving are a daughter, Julie (Michael) Troyer, Bowling Green, Kentucky, a son, Jeffrey Wenger, Goshen, grandchildren, Christopher (Andrea) Troyer, Crestwood, Kentucky, Brian (Claire) Troyer, Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, great-grandchildren, Alexander, Anna & Jackson Troyer, and Charles, Henry & Abigail Troyer and a sister, Bonnie Smith, Goshen.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Charles, and 8 siblings, Glen Holderbaum, Fern Tavernier, Edna Wilhelm, Milo Holderbaum, Marjorie Miller, Ruby Etsinger, Arthur Dale Holderbaum & Jeannie Geyer.
Wilma worked at Dwyer Instruments for 33 years as a calibrator. She was a member of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, where she was involved in a prayer group and over the years taught Sunday School and Bible School. Wilma loved gardening, canning, and freezing. She loved to bake, and pies were one of her specialties. She enjoyed flowers and nature. Wilma especially loved spending holidays and weekends with Chuck and her family at Perrin Lake, Sturgis, Michigan,

Rosanna H. Wengerd, 47, of LaGrange, (district: 4), died peacefully at home at 8:15 am on Saturday, December 23, [2023]. She was born on May 21, 1976, in LaGrange, to Henry D. and Mary Kay (Yoder) Graber. On September 8, 1994, in LaGrange, she married Wilbur W. Wengerd, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are two sons, Melvin Dean and Aaron Jon Wengerd both at home; six daughters, Marilyn Kay (Marlin) Yoder of Wolcottville, Waneta Sue (Loren) Bontrager of LaGrange, Kristina Rose (special friend Duane Mast), Lisa Elaine (special friend Ryan Miller), LaVerda Kaye, Doris Ann Wengerd all at home; seven grandchildren, Kailey Renae, Emmalin Rose, Kristen Diane and Derrik Ryan Yoder, Luke Ryan, Joyce Elaine, and Brandon Lynn Bontrager; mother, Mary Kay Graber of LaGrange; five brothers, Alvin (Susan) Graber, Elmer (Dena) Graber both of LaGrange, Herman (Malinda) Graber of Shipshewana, Delbert (Betty) Graber, Daniel (Erma) Graber both of LaGrange; five sisters, Leona (Mervin) Mishler of LaGrange, Katie (Paul) Whetstone of Howe, Wilma (Sam) Whetstone, Linda (Irvin Ray) Miller, Edith (Floyd) Miller all of LaGrange.

Rosanna was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, December 26 also at the family residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Menno Schwartz and the home ministers. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery, LaGrange.
Whetstone, Sylvia L. Hochstetler
June 11, 1934 - January 28, 2023
Sylvia L. Whetstone, age 88 of Nappanee, IN, went to be with Jesus at 7:50 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at her residence. Sylvia was born on June 11, 1934 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Levi C. and Lizzie Ann (Schrock) Hochstetler. On March 14, 1953 Sylvia married Jacob Whetstone in Milford, IN. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2008.
Sylvia was a long-time devoted member of Salem Mennonite Church. She joined the church in 1954 and served for many years as a Sunday School teacher and also enjoyed participating in the Ladies’ sewing group at the church. Sylvia loved Jesus and reading her Bible and “Daily Bread” devotionals. She is remembered for having a gentle spirit and was very humble; living by the Golden Rule and striving to treat people as she wanted to be treated.
Sylvia worked for many years as a cook at the B & B in Nappanee. She enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching as well as completing crossword and word search puzzles. Sylvia cared deeply for her family and they were blessed to in turn care for her over these last several years. Above all else, Sylvia loved her Lord and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.
Sylvia is survived by her 7 children: Linda (John) Tener of Nappanee, Shirley (Terry) Tucker of Nappanee, Marsha (Roger) Hostetter of Nappanee, Gloria (Ron) Yoder of Nappanee, Rose (Vern) Mace of Goshen, Sandy (Craig) Drudge of Goshen, and Philip (Tammy) Whetstone, of Port Huron, MI; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Edna Hochstetler of Topeka, IN.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Ervin L. Hochstetler.
Visitation will be held from 2-7 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee and from 9:30-10:30 am on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Salem Mennonite Church. Pheanis A. Wickey, age 72 of Bremen, IN, died at 4:23 pm on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at South Bend Memorial Hospital after injuries suffered from a fall. Pheanis was born on October 3, 1950 to August and Emma (Schwartz) Wickey. On May 31, 1973 Pheanis married Elizabeth Jane Burkholder in Bremen, IN. Pheanis was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving is his wife, Elizabeth Jane Wickey of Bremen; 1 son, Jesse Lynn Wickey of Rensselaer, IN; 3 daughters, Wanita (Melvin) Hochstetler of Bremen, Becky (Wyman) Chupp of Bremen, and Hannah (Freeman) Bontrager of Nappanee; 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 6 sisters, Susan (John) Schmitt of Crofton, KY, Mary Coblentz of Spooner, WI, Ruth (Dave) Beachy of Arthur, IL, Lucinda (Dan) Schwartz of Berne, IN, Delila Miller of Goshen, IN, Clara (John) Eicher of Lagrange, IN; 1 brother, Corneal (Lena) Wickey of Shipshewana, IN; and sister in laws, Susan Wickey of Homer, MI, and Rosina Wickey of Middlebury, IN.
Pheanis was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws; brothers: David, Daniel, Menas, and Nate Wickey; brothers in law: Jake Coblentz, Rueben Miller, Jake Schwartz, Jonas Mullet, and Oscar Burkholder; sisters in law: Ina Mullet, Delila Wickey and Elizabeth Wickey.

Mary Catherine (Good) Witmer of 5219 Hickory Valley Rd., Sparta, TN passed to her eternal reward May 7, 2023, age 95 years, 11 months, and 24 days. Her husband, J. Elmer Witmer, preceded her in death on June 28, 2006 after 57 years of matrimony.
Also preceding her in death were daughter, Myrtle Anne and husband, Chester Allen Petre, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Wyse, Aldine G. Eichelberger
February 20, 1925 - October 11, 2023
Aldine G. Wyse, 98, of Goshen passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born February 20, 1925 in Wayland, Iowa to William and Katie (Graber) Eichelberger.
On August 11, 1946 she married Marlin S. Wyse in Wayland, Iowa. He died January 13, 2001.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie (Rich) Kauffman, White Pigeon of Michigan, Marla (Wilbur) Mast of Goshen and Lynette (Craig) Gingerich of Riverside, Iowa; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anita Swartzendruber of Wayland, Iowa.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, S. Scott Wyse, three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Wyse was a member of First Mennonite Church of Middlebury where she was a long-time Sunday school teacher. Aldine had many interests that kept her busy. She enjoyed quilting, playing games, listening to music, and watching her beloved Chicago Cubs.
Mrs. Wyse was a loving homemaker and worked as an elementary schoolteacher. After retirement she was an activities director for a nursing home and volunteered for Menn-Hof.
Local services will be Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S. Main St., Goshen with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 3 p.m. Her grandson, Mitch Mast will officiate.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 17, at 11 a.m. CST at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Wayland, Iowa. Visitation will follow at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, 1209 Franklin Ave, Wayland, Iowa from noon until 2 p.m. CST.
